Bastille - "Pompeii"
On some days, you go about your normal routine of surfing the interwebs and you come across a song. You take a listen, and you are instantly drawn in as if it were love at first listen. Well, it probably was.
Bastille is a London-based indie rock/pop band founded by singer-songwriter Dan Smith. They only started out in 2010, but with their first two EP's attracting a lot of attention and forming a good fan base, Bastille was signed on to EMI under Virgin Records on December 2011. This comes as no surprise, though. Take a listen to their other songs and hopefully you'll understand why.
Another personal favorite is Sleepsong, a track from their first EP, Overjoyed. And if you can't get enough of their music as myself, the good news is, the band is finally releasing their debut album "Bad Blood" out on March 4th. It contains 13 tracks, including some favorites from past EP's such as Things We Lost In The Fire, Overjoyed and Laura Palmer. You can pre-order the album here.
