These may be Songs From The Vault, as this band's latest EP is called, but they sure as hell don't belong there. Good tunes such as these are meant to be enjoyed and shared, not kept! And so I'm pretty glad (and feeling lucky) some of those have found their way into my inbox.
Meet Lego Soul--a five piece garage/loft rock band from Shropshire, England. Founded only this year, this band may not be seasoned, but whatever they lack in experience, they make up for in pure talent.
Like the single Waster, for example. There may not be an explosion of melodies or a complex display of instrument playing, but it's a diamond in the rough, nonetheless. The 70's, psychedelic feel of the song makes it perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons driving on a freeway--which, incidentally, is what you can see on Wasters music video (though instead of a big bike, in my mind it's a 1966 Chevy El Camino).
Watch the video below:
How did you like the song? And did you enjoy the weird psychedelic animations as much as we did? We'd love to hear about it in the comments section! Plus, check out the other tracks from Lego Soul in their Soundcloud page, where their songs are up for free download including Waster. Enjoy and don't forget to send some love to the band by supporting their pages and upcoming shows. Links are below:
